Marvelous Maui

Maui is the next stop on our trip. As you have probably already guessed by just looking at the map, this is the second largest island of the eight. It is the 17th largest in the United States and is a whopping 727.2 square miles long. Something very different and unique about Maui is that it is actually part of the Island of Hawaii, which is another reason it is so large in size. The highest point in Maui is 10,023 feet high. Maui is one of the most spectacular places in the United States because of its waterfalls and black sand beaches. If you like shopping or eating, Lahaina is the place for you. It has several places for tourists to shop and spend their money. A couple other well worth spots to stop at are Haleakala National Park (with its amazing sunrises), and anywhere along the Maui coast where you can surf or snorkel for underwater creatures. The views are also breathtaking and a place definitely worth stopping on our virtual tour.Pictures in order of appearance: Haleakala National Park (first two photos), Man surfing in Maui, Two people snorkeling in the Maui Coast, and along the streets in Lahaina.
