Spectacular Oahu

The next stop on our field trip is Oahu. Oahu is the third largest of the Hawaiian Islands but the most popular to visit because of the many fun and exciting tourist attractions. It is only 596.7 square miles, which is much smaller than the size of Hawaii. It is home to Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay, Kane’ohe Bay. Oahu is also where the famous Pearl Harbor Attack took place. A lot of people like to visit this site to learn about what happened as well as pay their respects to the people that died in that awful attack. We will also be stopping along the way to visit this remarkable site. Another exciting place to travel while staying in Oahu is Mt. Ka’ala. It is the highest point in Oahu, measuring to be a total of 4,003 feet above sea level. WOW! It is one of the most beautiful spots in Oahu once you get to the top.

Pictures in order of their appearance: Diamond Head, The Pearl Harbor Memorial, Hanauma Bay, Kane'ohe Bay, The Map, and Waikiki Beach.
